How I work It is a great joy and privilege to be asked to be a part of a couple's special day and I strive always to honour that privilege. Working with the assistance of my wife, Brenda, I do whatever I can to help the couple to relax and enjoy the day, because I believe that a happy, relaxed bride is the key to beautiful wedding photographs. For that reason, Brenda not only helps to keep everything flowing smoothly, but is also ready to step in with practical help - or safety pins! I am very aware that, whereas the food is eaten, the flowers fade and the dress is packed away, the photographs remain as a lasting memorial not only of the couple's wedding experiences but also of people and events they may have missed on the day. That is why I favour a 'reportage' approach, aiming to capture as much of the day as possible, from the bride's final preparations to the honeymoon departure, and incorporating the more traditional or formal group photographs, which celebrate the family and friends who have come to share the couple's day. And I try to achieve that without being too intrusive.
